The EM-6917B-2 is a hybrid combination of the industry standard biconical and log periodic antennas delivering an unmatched combination of frequency coverage and high power handling capability. Featuring exceptionally broad frequency coverage of 26 MHz to 3 GHz, the EM-6917B-2 eliminates the need for adjustments or switching antennas in most test applications up to 3 GHz, and it does so without compromising power handling capability for transmit applications.

The EM-6917B-2 is supplied with an integral balun which minimizes the effect of cable placement on measurements as seen with some other antennas. Telescopically collapsible biconical elements improve performance at lower frequencies, increasing gain at 26 MHz as high as –20 dB. Each antenna is individually calibrated for field strength measurements from 26 MHz to 3 GHz.
