Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the MIL-STD-810H is a military environmental test standard that demonstrates a product’s ability to operate reliably and resist harsh real-world conditions. It defines laboratory test methods that replicate environmental stresses, temperature extremes, shock, vibration, rain, humidity, salt fog, sand and dust, and altitude.

MIL-STD-810H certified antennas instill confidence that communications and sensing will remain reliable in extreme conditions, environmental failures will be reduced, and maintenance and replacement costs will be lower. Deployed assets will continue to be mission-ready and perform in demanding operational environments.

IP69 is a very high ingress-protection rating that indicates a product can operate in extremely harsh environments and has the highest level of protection against solids and liquids. IP69 certified products are completely protected from the ingress of dust and solid particles, ensuring no harmful deposits can penetrate the enclosure. They are resistant to high-pressure, high-temperature (80 °C and 100 bar/1,160–1,450 psi) at close range.

NIST 800-171 is a cybersecurity standard that defines how nonfederal organizations must protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on their systems and networks. It outlines security requirements that any contractor or subcontractor must comply with if the store, process, or transmit CUI for U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. NIST 800-171 compliance is a DoD mandate whenever DFARS 252.204-7012 appears in a contract.

The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a mandatory annual requirement for U.S. manufacturers, exporters, and brokers of defense-related products, overseen by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). It governs the manufacture, export, temporary import, and brokering of defense articles, technical data, and defense services listed on the U.S. Munitions List (USML).
