EM-6550 | Wideband Manpack Antenna

The EM-6550 Wideband Manpack Antenna is a high-power, omnidirectional antenna intended for portable, vehicular, and fixed electronic warfare (EW), high-power transmission and tactical communications applications. The antenna is designed to support continuous-wave (CW) transmit power levels up to 30 W and is capable of 50 W transmission for up to 1 hour, enabling operation under high duty-cycle transmit conditions.

The antenna operates over a wide frequency range and provides omnidirectional azimuth coverage with stable radiation and impedance characteristics across the operating band.

The EM-6550 incorporates a ruggedized mechanical design suitable for field deployment in harsh operational conditions. The foldable radiating element reduces stowed length for transport and storage while maintaining repeatable electrical performance in the deployed configuration. Mechanical construction and materials are selected to support repeated deployment cycles and environmental exposure typical of manpack and mobile systems.

The antenna is intended for integration with military-grade transmitters and RF systems supporting electronic attack, electronic support, and secure tactical communications.
